Extended Reality (XR) provides an alternative, non-invasive and non-drug based access point to the brain’s neural pathways to change the perception and processing of pain. Verity uses a multi-modal approach including graded exposure, functional movement rehabilitation and kinematics to help clinicians manage pain and musculoskeletal conditions. The purpose of using a multi-modal approach is to gradually decrease pain amplification and incrementally improve functional movements to break the cycle of pain and dysfunction.

Novel sensors engineered into the VR environment measure range of motion, velocity, and autonomic measures of stress. This information enables real-time adjustments to game parameters.
